One of our readers sent this in to us wondering if it could be true that there might be finger print scanning abilities with BlackBerry 6. We did show you a patent that was filed not long ago for finger print scanning technology.
The image above was found in the BlackBerry 6 resources and is file: net_rim_theme_precision_2_360x400_b.cod, which looks like it is from the 9800 Slider. It will be very interesting to see if OS 6.0 has this new type of security feature. Consumers, corporations, and governments would definitely find finger print scanning to be very useful and make their BlackBerrys that much more secure.
